We’re down to what individual people think or feel from our individual works.

It’s not a style or method or format we come up with that matters now. No one sees that and says, “Hmm yes very compelling, relevant, telling us a lot about ourselves.”

It’s the individual artwork, and the individual viewer’s response. It’s microscopically granular. 

One viewer sees the artwork and is excited. Most see it and are indifferent. A few see it and are angry or annoyed. Mapped out, these responses are grains of sand. And they blow away.
